Prevention, Protection, Precautions

As Black women, we have to be the ones that are accountable for our health. We are already at an disadvantage, but the only way to make progress is to start individually. HIV/AIDS is plaguing our community at alarming rates. FHI preformed a study looking at pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV prevention among heterosexual women. Thus far the trial has proven to not be as successful for women as it was for men having sex with men (MSM).

What does this mean to you?!? We are at risk. We have to start having these conversations with our partners and not be afraid to stand up to them. Its been to be alone and healthy than fighting for your life everyday for 5 minutes of pleasure.
